If you are searching for employment tell potential employers about the type of work you desire, your skills, education, experience, what salary level you are seeking, what geographic areas you would prefer to work in, and any other relevant information.
Offering employment? - Employment ads have become such a mystery over the past twenty years. So many classified ads contain incomplete information as to the qualifications needed for a job, the company name, job locations, etc. So employers now receive at times hundred of applications from those who may not have responded had they known all the details beforehand. It was once a common practice to research a company prior to submitting your resume. These days with most classified ads there is no mention of the company name, where they are located, the rate of pay, etc. to be able to make a decision of whether to apply for the job.
Employers wouldn't you rather provide your company name, job location, qualifications, experience, salary, etc. and narrow down your responses to only those who are both qualified and truly interested? Provide them with all the information needed to make a decision of whether to spend the time to create a cover letter, submit a resume, and wait anxiously for a response or possible interview.
If you are posting in Automotive or General Merchandise you will want to include the condition of the vehicle or merchandise. Provide as much detail as possible i.e. this item new, used, slightly used, used for one year, etc. Does this item come with manuals, instructions, or any type of warranty?
It's also a good idea to provide shipping information. Who pays for shipping and what costs and methods are being used. How soon will you ship the item? Are you able to deliver the item? If you deliver, what area are you willing to deliver to? Are there any fees for delivery?
